About the competition

Capture Kingston is an annual photography competition sponsored by the Friends of Kingston Museum and Heritage Service (KMandHS) in collaboration with Kingston Council. Joined this year by Kingston Rotary in their Centennial year. The competition was set up in memory of Les Kirkin to ensure Kingston’s photographic collection continues to record the ever changing history of the Borough.

KMandHS are excited to announce the theme for this year’s photo competition will be Environment. With focus on Climate Change, Nature, Wildlife and Recycling. You can look at all these topics from all angles, and showcase where Kingston is flourishing and where there is room for growth with regards to the Enviroment.

They would like as many people as possible to see and be inspired by your photography submissions and very much look forward to sharing them.

All submissions will become part of Kingston’s Local History Collection for future generations to enjoy.
