RER the developer of the former Surrey County Hall (SCH) have submitted their scheme to RBK.

Disappointingly the proposals reflect not a single change following extensive feedback from this society and local resident group Riverside Residents Association.

The plans for the historic SCH building, assuming change of use is granted, will provide new homes in a town centre setting and the oldest and listed parts will offer community assts for use by the University and the local population and these receive our broad support. But we continue to oppose the wholly inappropriate and too high proposals for the replacement buildings for the former staff canteen and tennis courts which will bring misery to some residents in Woodbines Avenue and Milner Road. Additionally whilst supporting replacing the former computer wing in the Bittoms the new offering is simplistic and unimaginative and will not sit well so close to the listed elements within the existing complex.

The 297 document planning application is on the RBK planning portal here

The most useful and easily understood documents are the Design and Access Statements, and we have combined the seven separate PDFs into one document here (this is a large file – 222 pages – and will take a few seconds to load) and it can be downloaded to your own computer for convenience.
