2022 is our Diamond Jubilee year and in partnership with the Malden Camera Club we are delighted to mark this milestone with a very special Photography Exhibition, Kingston Right Here Right Now at All Saints Church, Kingston.

Earlier in the year we invited Kingston residents and photo enthusiasts to submit interesting and creative photographs of the urban and natural environment of the Borough. Our vision was to capture a snapshot time capsule of the Borough in 2022 for viewers in sixty years’ time (in 2082). The subject matter was limited to the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and photographs must have been taken in 2022.

Thank you all for your entries and the fantastic response. We have had some wonderful contributions! And also a huge thank you to all the Malden Camera Club for helping us with the selection process and curating.

Our aim was not only to display the rich urban history and natural environment of Kingston upon Thames but also the challenges of the current built environment.

Also on display is the story of 60 years of civic society activism by Society volunteers, some long gone. A journey back through the memories of the past, but also a fascinating insight into how we have changed since the 1960s.

All entries will be added to the Kingston Society’s digital archives for future generations as a photographic statement of the borough as it is now.

We look forward to seeing you all at the exhibition opening on Saturday 29th October from 12.00 noon at All Saints Church. (Details below)

The exhibition will be open to the public daily, 10.00 – 4.00pm from 29th October until the 13th November.

Address: All Saints Church, Market Place, KT1 1JP (directions)
